Family arrived on Brig Constitution from Bremen, Germany. Listed were Anton (51), Elizabeth (48), Hanna (25) George (23) Amalie (20), Andrew 18) Henry (15) and Henrietta (13). Family originated in Hannover, Lower Saxony.
It is not known for sure where or exactly when Anton died and is buried, although it is probable that he died in the early 1840’s in New York State. He is not listed on the 1840 census, but according to Mrs. Culp he was still alive in 1842 and living on Scriba’s Patent in Oswego County, NY. The 1850 census lists his wife Elizabeth living with her daughter and son-in-law, Hanna and Charles Swertfigner in Minden, Montgomery County, NY.
